Waiter POS

Take the order at the table, not the till

Waiters lose time walking back to a fixed till and writing notes the kitchen cannot read. Tradeinit's POS runs on any tablet, so the round is built at the table and goes straight to the kitchen and bar.

What you get

Built for the shift, not the demo

Name and PIN

Waiters pick their name and type a PIN. There is no venue login on the device, and voids need a manager PIN.

Floor plan with tabs

Every table shows its open tab. Tap a table to add a round or take the bill.

Extras that add to the price

Sizes, measures, mixers, variants and priced extras like oat milk or an extra shot, so nothing is given away by accident.

Notes in one tap

Common kitchen notes like "no onion" are set per category and added with a tap.

Priority and changes

Mark a round priority and it carries a banner and sits first on screens. Change a sent round and the kitchen gets a CHANGED ticket with only the moves.

Bills and receipts

Bill as a whole, split evenly or by items. Print a bill or a numbered VAT receipt with your logo, VAT number, who served and a Google review QR.

At the table

The round goes from the table to the pass.

Name and PIN, build the round, send. The kitchen and the bar each get their own ticket. The bill splits however the table wants, and the receipt prints with your logo and VAT number.

On a real night

How it runs on a busy service

  1. 1
    Start the shift

Open the POS on the tablet, pick your name and type your PIN. The floor plan shows which tables are open.

  2. 2
    Take the round

Tap the table, build the round with sizes, extras and quick notes, and send it. Food goes to the kitchen and drinks to the bar.

  3. 3
    Second rounds and changes

A second round is flagged as a running order. If a guest changes their mind, amend the round and the kitchen sees only what changed.

  4. 4
    Take the bill

Split it how the table wants, then take cash, record card at the bar, or show a QR so the guest pays on their phone.

Questions

Waiter POS, answered plainly

Do I need new hardware?
No. The POS installs on any tablet from a link. An Epson receipt printer is optional for bills, receipts and kitchen tickets.
Can I keep my card machine?
Yes. Take the card on your machine at the bar and record it on the POS. Guests can also pay by QR on their phone.
What stops staff voiding items?
Voids need a manager PIN, and each waiter signs in with their own PIN, so you can see who served each table.
Do I need a laptop for the printer?
No. Epson printers connect to Tradeinit's servers themselves using Server Direct Print.
How long does setup take?
We set it up remotely in a day, including your menu, tables and staff PINs.
